Tile is Complete

The tile is fully installed!  We had a wonderful, very experienced contractor install the tile in the powder room, laundry room, kids' bathroom and ensuite.  He was exceptional because he wasn't bothered by me checking in on the progress several times a day, put up with my questions and design changes, and always checked in to see if we were satisfied with his work before moving on.  And he was good to the kids and the dog.  Couldn't ask for more than that.

The photo above is the powder room.  It's oriental marble hexagon.  It's tough to get a good photo in such a small space and this doesn't do it justice!  The white pedestal sink will be centered on the tile and the top of the sink will be approximately four inches below the top of the tile.

Below is the tiled 'pan' that the washer and dryer will sit in.  Because the laundry room is on the second floor, it's recommended that there is a liner and curb (short ledge at front) to protect the floor and first floor ceiling in case of a water leak.  The tiler did such a nice job, it's a shame that the washer and dryer will cover most of the tile!

The kids' bathroom tub / shower surround is a creamy white 3" x 5" subway tile.  I'm hoping the subway tile will add a classic look.

The ensuite shower has the same creamy white 3" x 5" subway tile, with a white hexagon floor (and dark border.

Close-up of ensuite shower floor.  Definitely glad I made a last minute switch to a square drain cover (was round).

Lately, I seemed to get asked a lot when our MOVE-IN day is.  Officially?  Christmas 2012 2013 ;)
