Insulation - Sprayed & Blown

A very busy week here on the farm.  While the septic system was being installed, the insulation was also going in.  We went with a 'hybrid' system of both spray and blown in insulation.  We put sprayed insulation in areas that are difficult to vapor barrier like eaves.  In the rest of the straightforward areas, we used blown in fiberglass insulation.

Sprayed insulation.

Prepping for blown insulation.

Machine that blows insulation through tubes into walls and ceiling.

Blowing into ceiling.

Finished with vapor barrier.

  1. I think what’s good about sprayed or blown fiberglass insulation is that you can install them even on the hard to reach places. As opposed to styrofoam that you need to know the right measurement before you can install it. Anyway, the installing looks good! How’s the house now?
